How are leading research institutes addressing the urgent need for novel TB therapies? Join our Tutorial led by Peter Craggs, Pharmacology Expert at The Francis Crick Institute, to learn how a multi-partner collaboration is building on previous GSK efforts to identify and validate new targets against an under-explored area in TB drug discovery, Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) metabolism.
In this work, a high-throughput repurposing screening approach has been taken to identify inhibitors from a library of 6,000 existing compounds. This project was enabled by building an integrated automated workflow in collaboration with SPT Labtech and Automata. The non-contact positive displacement dispenser, dragonfly® discovery from SPT Labtech, delivered fast and precise liquid handling, while the Automata Linq platform allowed seamless end-to-end assay automation of such a time-sensitive kinetic assay. This collaborative, integrated approach accelerated the discovery of novel Mtb enzyme inhibitors and laid the groundwork for further medicinal chemistry efforts to develop this promising class of antitubercular agents.
Our technology has been successfully implemented in laboratories around the world - keep an eye out for our posters which showcase these research findings!
Our team of experts are always on hand to answer any questions or arrange a demo of our solutions if you'd like to see them for yourself - so get in touch if you'd like to learn more!
