Lab2lab system control - 3.2 Software network

Communication between the various software applications is through defined interfaces. The lab2lab Client communicates with the lab2lab Director through a lab2lab specific interface. Similarly, each of the Receiver types has a defined software interface, either as part of lab2lab or as an instrument software interface. 

lab2lab devices communicate via the building's ethernet network. All devices use the same network control module except the Buffer which is controlled directly from the Director PC.
