Lab2lab overview - 3.7 Router
The Router is a rotary device which aligns a catcher with a Pipe. Vials arrive in the catchers then have their 2D barcode read. lab2lab then decides on the best destination for the vial and rotates the catcher arm to the appropriate Pipe. The vial is then blown to the selected destination. For vials returning from Receivers, the Router will send them on to the Waste Bin, a Buffer, the Collection Point or another Receiver if there are more analyses to be run on a different instrument.
