Unbox the instrument. Remove adapters, cables, and side barcode reader from plastic packaging.
Insert cables into the back of the instrument and PC as shown in the diagram below.
Power on the unit by pressing the switch on the back to the on position. Highest quality imaging is achieved after a warmup period of 30 minutes.
Setting up the Scan side rack barcode reader (optional):
To attach the side rack barcode reader, remove the screws on the scan unit on the side that is compatible with the rack barcodes on end user sample racks. These should be two short screws.
Using the two longer screws provided with the side rack barcode reader, mount the reader to the scan unit.
Position the side rack barcode reader to the angle necessary for the end user sample racks by adjusting the thumb screws on either side of the mounting bracket.
