arktic software is designed to run in kiosk mode as the sole application on the system PC.
However you may need to shut-down the software and restart the PC e.g. to apply operating
system updates.
The following steps will halt order processing gracefully and exit the software:
- Press the play button
to take arktic offline. - The control system will complete its current task.
- Select the Exit button
in the Main Menu. - Note: refrigeration will be unaffected by the shutdown of the user interface.
arktic requires a constant supply of power to maintain storage conditions, without power the
store will thaw. If there is a need to turn off power arktic can be isolated at the supply outlet,
the internal UPS will provide enough power to allow the control system to complete its current task and leave the system in a suitable state for restarting.
