About this webinar recording
Thomas Brabbs, Senior Research Assistant at the Earlham Institute, presents a miniaturized version of the Illumina DNA Prep method that was developed in collaboration with SPT Labtech for the all-in-one firefly® liquid handling platform for genomics.
He discusses how WGS data obtained from human controls and a mock bacterial community with variable GC content prepared using the miniaturized DNA Prep libraries compare to the full-volume protocol as well as to the lab’s current low-input Nextera method. The focus of this comparison will be on genome coverage and GC bias.
Key learnings:
Overview of the miniaturized DNA Prep protocol on the SPT Labtech firefly platform.
Comparison of miniaturized libraries with full-volume libraries.
Utility of low-cost library construction for genomic studies.
