Specific Risks - 2.4 Asphyxiation

Helium, nitrogen and ethane gases all displace atmospheric oxygen. Given the small volumes of these gases in use on chameleon, the instrument itself does not present a risk in this regard.
You must carry out a risk assessment for any supply or storage gas cylinders, Dewar's etc. which you are using with chameleon.
Helium should be used solely for the purpose of degassing dispenser fluid.
